Hello! A happy Spring 2010 to all of you. With what seems to be the last of the Winter weather behind us, we here at HRQ are welcoming Springtime with enthusiasm. The grounds around the store are always so pretty this time of year. We have bulbs blooming, the azaleas are showing some color and the trees are just beautiful. We're doing so upgrades to the grounds as well, a new sidewalk and some pretty new flowering bushes. . .so pretty! The store is brimming (and I mean brimming. . .)with new fabrics, patterns and class projects. We also have several new notions~Bohin marking tools, Aurifil thread, and rulers galore! We've got great new fabric lines coming in daily and we've expanded our selection to include oil cloth, chenille, minkie and canvas textiles. . .so wonderful. We've had a great time making store samples from these new items~especially the chenille~it reminds me of when I was a little girl. We're also increasing our selection of felted wool and felted wool patterns and supplies. Our online store is really beginning to take off. We have many kits and patterns offered online~and we're adding new fabrics daily. I know so many of you love the Radiance by Robert Kaufman (the silk/cotton blend we always bring to Pacific Quilt and Long Beach). The online store is fully stocked with a full color spectrum for your stitching pleasure. We're also gearing up for Quilt Rush 2010! The theme this year is Rock Around the Block and the quilt is cute. . .all done in blacks and whites with just a splash of color! We hope to see many of you this year. The dates are April 14th through April 18th. Each shop has extended hours and will have goodies, giveaways and raffle prizes! Check out www.quiltrush.org for more details. Theresa, Amanda and I are heading to Minneapolis in May for Spring Market 2010. We'll preview all of the new fabrics you'll be seeing over the course of the next 8 months. We're so excited! Kaffe Fassett will be there, Anna Maria Horner and Sandi Henderson~some of your very favorite designers. Also, we're especially excited to meet with Kokka to preview the new Heather Ross line ~Far, Far Away II~which is more of Heather's beautiful artwork brought to life on cotton~there's an owl and the pussy cat print~gotta have it! Until next time~Happy Stitching. . . Carmen Join Mailing List | Friends | Shipping Informations | Contact |
